ABSTRACT
This chapter covers political development in Ethiopia from the perspective of dominant ethnic strategy. It covers Ethiopian regime changes (from Haile Sellassie through Mengistu Haile Mariam to Meles Zenawi) in terms of ethnicity: dominant versus marginalized, centralization versus decentralization, and oppression versus democracy.
