ABSTRACT
Richard Quest is British, holds an LLB (Hons) degree in Law from Leeds University and was called to the Bar. He began his career in journalism as a BBC news trainee in 1985 before later joining the BBC Financial Section in 1987, when he reported from London and New York on the stock market crash. He was subsequently appointed as a news correspondent and then moved to New York as the BBC’s North America business correspondent in 1989. Richard has covered virtually all major business news stories across radio and television in the past decade, monitoring the ups and downs of the dollar and pound and the highs and lows of the stock market. Richard joined CNN in 2000 as co-anchor of CNN’s twice-daily business programme Business International. He is now the anchor of CNN’s daily business show Business Central and co-anchor of BizNews, a rolling four-hour live morning news and European business breakfast programme.
