ABSTRACT
The following hands-on activities invite you, the reader, to build your own story maps. While following these procedures, think about the stories that you would like to tell. You can use the skills you gain in the hands-on activities to turn your own stories into multimedia story maps. These activities require a log-in to ArcGIS Online, from Esri. If you do not have an account, check with your organization—your university, your company, your government agency, your school, your non-profit organization. It is likely that your organization will already have Esri technology, including ArcGIS Online, that is the basis for story maps. If your organization does not have Esri technology, then go to https://developers.arcgis.com">https://developers.arcgis.com and scroll to the location where you can sign up for a free account.
