ABSTRACT
Roughly speaking, a suspension of a map f to a flow ϕ is a smooth interpolation with parameter t between the domain and the range of f. We will make this notion precise in the following section. More specifically, we are interested in ordinary differential equations whose solutions at integer values of t are solutions to difference equations.
