More flexibility can be achieved by applying a distributed control approach with similar structures as the physical equipment. Thus, entities can be achieved that encapsulate physical equipment with distinct functionality and information. These entities can then be combined for realizing functionality on a more complex level and additional functionality can be added by integrating further entities [1]].
