ABSTRACT

Certain non-cytoxic drugs used in the treatment of benign disorders can cause pulmonary toxicities. Pulmonary adverse effects of amiodarone are the best studied. However, there are many other therapeutic agents in this class that are relatively commonly used and cause various pulmonary toxicities. In this chapter, we will discuss the pulmonary adverse effects of antirheumatic drugs as well as other selected non-cytotoxic medications (Box 21.1). Pulmonary reactions to amiodarone are discussed in Chapter 22.
