In this chapter, work done in open-source computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software OpenFOAM was used to study heat transfer phenomena in liquid lithium flowing through elliptical cylinder. The analysis was done for different aspect ratios and different magnetic inductions with constant wall temperature applied over the geometry. In addition, the magnetic field is imposed orthogonal to the temperature gradient. Thus, numerical results were obtained and results were compared for various aspect ratios and with changing magnitude of magnetic induction as well. The results have shown that heat transfer rate was increased with the increase in aspect ratio and also with the increase in magnetic induction.
