ABSTRACT
The Three-story Stone Pagoda of Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju (a.k.a. Seokgatap Pagoda) was constructed1 in the first year of King Gyeongdeok in 742. It is a typical three-story stone pagoda from the United Silla Period in the form of putting a three-story pagoda body on top of a two-story platform. It was completely disassembled and repaired in the fourth year of King Jeongjong in 1038, and was also disassembled and repaired up to second-story roof stones in 1966. In the early 1970s, the previously missing finial was restored.
