ABSTRACT
The first robotic-assisted procedure in humans was performed more than a decade ago by a European team who went on to report a case series detailing the feasibility of robotic general surgery [1]. Since then, a growing expansion in the number of indications for various general surgical procedures and an increase in the adoption of the robotic platform among surgeons from a variety of subspecialties, including endocrine surgery, have been noted [1–3].
