ABSTRACT
Phalloplasty is the surgical technique of penile reconstruction. Modern phalloplasty surgery reflects the development of surgical techniques in plastic and reconstructive surgery. The three most significant developments were the discovery of the tubed or pedicled flap, the advent of microsurgical techniques and free flaps, and thirdly the use of inflatable penile prostheses for erectile dysfunction.
