ABSTRACT
Reactive transport models (RTMs) can be applied to investigate and understand a broad range of environmental problems such as C02 sequestration, acid mine drainage, aquifer contamination, geochemical weathering, as well as carbon and nutrient cycling at regional and global scales. In this respect, RTMs are essential tools to investigate important environmental issues by improving our mechanistic understanding, facilitating data interpretation, and predicting system evolution.
