ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This article reviews the existing studies to assess the neuroscience tools in the field of social science. Based on 13 experimental studies, we reveal that ActiveTwo, Hydrocel Geodesic Sensor Net, and EPOC are the most popular Electroencephalography (EEG) tools in this field. Moreover, we compare these EEG tools by investigating several factors (for example, appearance, number of electrodes, usage). Finally, based on the findings, we provide recommendations on investment in EEG, suggesting that EPOC is the most appropriate for beginners, especially when conducting non-complicated research, such as gaming, while ActiveTwo is suitable for researchers with medium to high levels of experience.
