Tower grounding is very important for the protection of power systems. Conductive concrete has great potential in reducing tower grounding resistance. The application schemes of conductive concrete are analyzed and simulated in this article, which concludes that the partially wrapping method weighs better both in resistance reduction and potential distribution improvement. Horizontal radial electrodes combined with conductive concrete is proposed to improve the grounding resistance under high soil resistivity. The influencing factors of the improvement effect are discussed. The results of the analysis can provide a theoretical basis and guidance for the application of conductive concrete in transmission tower grounding.
