ABSTRACT

Competency certification is one of the Indonesian Government’s efforts to improve the quality of human resources. This a literature study focuses on authentic assessment used in competency certification tests in universities, especially at diploma levels. The implementation of the competency certification test requires an assessment model that can measure individual abilities in real terms. The results of this study recommend that assessment tools in competency tests use authentic assessment models. An authentic form of assessment recommended for competency certification test is performance assessment, written assessment, and interview. Authentic assessment is expected to be applied in competency certification tests and can measure the competencies of an individual in real-world tasks.
