ABSTRACT

Tensammetry is the general name for a number of electrochemical techniques that deal with the study of adsorption phenomena at the 202metal electrode-solution interface. The name was originally proposed by Breyer and Hacobian [1,2] and is a composite of tens (surface tension) and ammetry, as in voltammetry. As most surfactants exhibit adsorption behavior at a metal-electrolyte interface, these techniques can be used in the analysis of those compounds.
