ABSTRACT
An awareness of the importance of coconut/ cattle enterprises is growing in many countries and will probably continue. Examples of the growing interest are available in the South Pacific Islands and in Southeast Asia, Research and development programs in coconut/pasture systems, once restricted mostly to Sri Lanka, have been initiated in the Solomon Islands, Fiji, India, Indonesia (Bali), Jamaica, Malaysia, Niue, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, Tanzania, Thailand and Western Samoa.
