ABSTRACT

In some years pre-harvest sprouting damage may cause considerable losses in cereals in various regions of the world. It occurs in well established crops such as rye (Secale cereale L.) and also affects the man-made cereal triticale (x Triticosecale Wittmack). Despite its global importance only limited research has been devoted to the problem in rye and research work in triticale is still in its infancy.
