Small Animals for Small Farms in Latin America and the Caribbean

Between 9 and 10 million farms in Latin America and the Caribbean do not have the resources to raise large animals either for income or for food for home consumption. More than 31 million men, women, and children are involved and their generally poor diets are especially deficient in protein of animal origin.
