Storytelling is an increasingly ubiquitous term applied in various fields with markedly different This article addresses the meanings of the term, the kinds of stories and storytelling, a brief overview of history of storytelling, some advice for practicing storytellers, and a discussion of the myriad contexts which storytelling occurs today.
